Wuhan China, the capital of Hubei Province, is China's important industrial base,covering an area of 8,400 square kilometers, and with a population of 6.8 million.Wuhan City is located in a flat and low-lying land of an alluvial plain, and crisscross with rivers and streams along with numerous lakes and ports. Wuhan is at the confluence of the Yangtze River and the Hanshui River. Wuhan has a well-developed agriculture, and abounds in cotton, rape seeds, sesame seeds, peanuts, lotus roots, poultry, eggs etc. and is listed as a key base for production of commodity grains and freshwater fish. Wuhan, consisting of Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, is situated at the confluence of the Yangtze River and Hanshui River in the middle reaches of the Yangtze. It's China's important land and water communication hub, and also has very convenient highway and air transport.
